Born in or around Saint Paul, Minnesota, Daniel Kool currently works as a metro reporter at the Boston Globe in Massachusetts. At the Globe, he has covered immigration and resettlement, the October 2023 Maine shooting, transportation infrastructure and equity, and all sorts weekend color.
Daniel graduated from Boston University in January 2024 with a major in Journalism and a minor in American Studies. At BU, he worked as the city news editor of the The Daily Free Press,
